Typio Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 6, 2026

Typio is a Chrome extension that shows typing suggestions from your own datasets in the form fields you choose. This policy explains what Typio does with your data.

Summary

Typio does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. Everything stays in your browser.

Data stored on your device

Typio saves the following in Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your device only:

Typio does not record what you type. Learning from your typing is not available.

Data Typio never sends

Typio has no account, no backend server, no analytics, no advertising and no cloud sync. It makes no network requests with your data. Your datasets, shortcuts, field rules and anything you type are never sent to the developer or to any third party.

Website access

Typio does not have access to all websites. It asks for access to one site at a time, and only after you choose a field on that site and approve Chrome's permission prompt. On those sites it reads only the fields you chose, so it can show suggestions there. It never shows suggestions in password, payment-card, verification-code or similar sensitive fields. You can revoke access to any site from Typio's Options page.

Your control

From the Options page you can:

Uninstalling Typio removes all of its stored data from your browser.

This website

This download site serves the extension package and these pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Like any website, the hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages.

Children

Typio is a general productivity tool. It is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
